At Austin Orthodontics, our goal is to provide exceptional orthodontic care while respecting the time of all our patients and team members. We understand that unexpected situations — illness, severe weather, and traffic delays — can arise with little to no warning, and we’re always happy to work with you.

Notice for Canceling or Rescheduling Appointments

If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice from your appointment time when possible. This allows us the opportunity to offer that appointment time to another patient in need of care.

What Counts as a Missed Appointment?

A missed appointment includes:

  • Canceling or rescheduling less than 24 hours from your appointment time
  • Failing to arrive for a scheduled appointment (“no-show”)
  • Arriving late beyond the duration of your scheduled appointment time (for example, arriving 10 or more minutes late to a 10-minute adjustment visit)

Missed Appointment Fees

Fees vary based on the type and length of your visit. Shorter adjustment or observation appointments may incur a $50 fee, while longer appointments requiring extended chair time, specialized treatment, or dedicated clinical scheduling may incur a fee up to $100.
