Expert Austin Orthodontist

Meet Dr. Seth Briggs

I grew up in Johnstown, a small town in northern Colorado. I attended college at New Mexico State University, where I studied microbiology and was a four-year track and field student-athlete.

After undergrad, I married my sweetheart Allyson, and we began our life adventure together. I next attended Creighton University School of Dentistry.

While at Creighton, I was elected class president and served on numerous student advisory boards. Also while at Creighton, I was gifted braces treatment by an Omaha orthodontist who quickly became my friend and mentor.

Being in his office for braces adjustment and watching my own smile transform, I could see firsthand how a smile could be changed and what a blast working with children and teens could be. I decided then that orthodontics was the path I wanted to follow.

After dental school, I was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force, completed a residency in advanced clinical dentistry, and was awarded Officer of the Year while serving in California.

Austin Orthodontics

After practicing advanced clinical dentistry for five years I entered my second advanced residency in Orthodontics in San Antonio, Texas. While in orthodontic residency, my initial interest in orthodontics was cemented and my passion for working with children was confirmed.

I also was able to participate in research using cone beam CT scan technology and orthognathic surgical techniques. After 10 years of serving our fine men and women of the United States military in America and Europe, my family and I decided to enter civilian life, return to Texas, and continue serving children and families in the North Austin, Round Rock, and Cedar Park communities.

My wife, Allyson, and I are active members of the community, we are dedicated to many of Austin’s non-profit organizations, school associations, sports teams, and overseas missions.  We love spending time with our two college age children and traveling to visit them and be involved in their college experiences.
